Costs connected with building types
Classical: In these buildings each apartment has its gas and electrical meter, sometimes has own water meter(s) as well, sometimes not. Generally here are gas heating, and either gas water heater or electrical water bolier. In Hungary gas is the cheapest energy source.
Bauhaus: Not in Buda side, but in central Pest side most often these buildings have own building heating systems. This is very comfortable and safe, but the costs varies on a wide range: from the cheap until the very expensive. In the case of this kind of buildings it is important to clarify the added costs. The hot water produced by common building system, or individual gas or electrical heaters/boilers. In some areas as Danube bank in inner 9th district and 13th district are almost only bauhaus buildings. In Buda side are often individual gas heating in this buildings.
Concrete: Here is house central heating or district heating systems. Only electricity is paid by usage. Mostly you can find apartment with cheaper rental fee wich compensate the higher bills.
1990’s: Just a few building, same as bauhaus: mostly building central heating, in some case individual gas heating.
2000’s: In the case of these new buildings are individual or building central gas heating. In the very central areas almost all project was built by building central heating, and common hot water supplier system as well. Mostly there is a basic fee for the hot water and heating system maintenance in out-of-heating season, and there is bills by usage in heating season. These apartments have electricity and water meter, so they paid by usage as well. Other costs can be indicated by the amenities in the buildings, as park, reception, security service, gym, sauna, pool. It is important to clarify which amenities use inculded in the building maintenance fee.
