The pride of the Roman Garden is an interior garden of special design, which is accessible through the main entrance hall. The block of the main entrance is decorated by fountains and ornamental plant cassettes elevated by a supporting wall positioned on both sides. On top of the main entrance flight of stairs, in the middle, A serpentine rock is situated, which was transported here from the Swiss Alps. The garden pays homage to the architecture of ancient Rome: the huge elliptic and circular pavement system constituting the layout structure of the garden is made of white limestone also used in Aquincum.
In the circular lawn in front of the entrance, a 3.2-metre high “Roman Column” weighing 600 kgs, made by five students of the Silicate Faculty of the Hungarian University of Applied Arts can be found, which is a modern adaptation of a column-cap of Roman times.
