This is the Pest side downtown, around and along the 8th district section of Grand Boulvard: from Baross street to Üllői Road; from Mária street to Futó Street and Horváth Mihály Square.
It is a part of the 8th district in renovation. The heart of the neighbourhood is the newly developed Corvin Promenade with its refreshing effects for its environment: a new shopping mall with medium category brands and a lot of facilities and new residental buildings in a row nearby. The landscaped new corso is surrounded by restaurants, outdoor pubs and Life1 gym and spa is there as well.
On Corvin Promenade and in Futó Street there are high and large new blocks with tons of studio and 1 bedroom apartments. The neighbourhood is in continuous change: nicely renovated and very neglected classical buildings and small new buildings and large new developments are next to one another. There are a lot of parking places for rent.
One of the luxury rental buildings of the Pest side, the Franser Apartments, opened in 2011 in the neighbourhood.
The buildings of the Semmelweis University are easily accessible from here and because of good transport opportunities almost all Universities have good and quick access by public transport; tram line 4 and 6 (to BME), by bus line 9 to Andrássy University and CEU and trolley line 83 to Corvinus University.
